Understanding Jamaat-e-Islami and Islam

What is Jamaat-e-Islami? Jamaat-e-Islami is a movement

for the establishment of religion.

That is, we understand religion as a system, and

we understand it so because Allah

made religion a system. The Qur'an

itself means that it is not merely for reading,

it is for its system to be implemented.

A system of fairness, a system

of justice,

a system to end the rule of people over people.

Over time, people also brought

out many editions of Islam.

Some said, “Just do four charitable deeds, that is

Islam.” Some said,

“Give these sermons and advice, that is Islam.”

Some said, “Recite this remembrance and supplications,

that is Islam.”

Some said, “Set up a water station, plant a tree, that is Islam.” And

some said, “Whatever Islam may be, my sect is very important.

Whoever is not of my sect is outside the fold of Islam.”

Even among those who invoke the name of Islam, there are many

Great people have also passed

who rendered such services.

They are honorable scholars

who were or are true scholars, the ornament of our foreheads.

But there is also a large number who

become associated with the court.

There is a large number who seek favors from

the government and begin selling religion.

They

They set up shop selling sects, based on factions,

They divide people. They turn minutiae and secondary issues into

They start valuing the parts more than the whole.

They pass judgment on the smallest matters
