Like other political parties,

that run on “Long live” and “Down with,”

that run on personalities,

that run on inheritance, on wills, that run on families,

that run on feudalism,

that run on the rule of local landlords,

that run on capitalism, that rely on the Establishment,

that follow the signals of the international Establishment.

Jamaat- e- Islami is not such a political party.

We consider politics an act of worship

We do it with understanding, and engage in politics because

the prophets governed the Children of Israel.

Because when someone asked,

the Holy Prophet (peace be upon

him) said that the Children of

Israel were governed by the

prophets of the Children of Israel.

Our revered master ﷺ used to say,

through the political process,

he established Allah's system

and established a government and state,

so we engage in politics

What we do is not for our personal gain,

nor for any electable candidate.

It is not for any wealthy party, but for Allah and His

Messenger and the system He brought.

Therefore, Sama-- Jamaat- e- Islami is a religious movement, so

no one should consider us a religious group.

No one should consider us a sectarian group.

This sectarianism,

we have dissociated ourselves from it a hundred times.

We do not believe in sectarianism,

we respect all schools of thought.

Every imam who compiled Islamic jurisprudence

is worthy of respect.

Every religious scholar who served the faith

is a crown jewel upon our brow.

Everyone who has lit even a single lamp

for the faith means a great deal to us.

But on the basis of these schools of thought,

or on the basis of sects,

we do not divide the Ummah, rather, we unite all

people and fulfill that duty.
