Discussion on US-Iran Relations

Mr. Carter came down from his throne

and sat on the ground with us common people.

He reached an understanding with us, and we will understand him too,

except that he must

make amends for the wrongs he has done to us.

We have nothing against the American people, none at all.

There is no conflict between peoples, only with their governments.

A government that comes along later should reach an understanding with us.

It should not be that I sit in the White House

while you sit in a hovel, and the one in the palace

and the one in the hovel must be master and servant.

If they discard this notion

and understand us, perceive us as we are,

us,

why should we not have relations with them? With the U.S.

government we will have relations too, with everywhere.
