Lebanon's Military and Political Dynamics

Peace be upon you. We all wondered

about the size of the weapons the party has in southern

Lebanon.

When the Army took over south of the Litani

to clear it out,

it seized 290 people.

And it picked up 3.7 million

weapons, from ballistic missiles to Kalashnikovs.

Three point seven per person, with serial numbers.

They are in stock and

with the Lebanese Army.

They are in the Lebanese Army's stock.

Three million seven hundred thousand

weapons, from ballistic missiles to

handguns, according to MP Adib Abdel Massih.

What did the Lebanese Army do with them, by decision

of the political authorities, when

Israel invaded south of the Litani?

The Israeli Army was in Khiam within 15 minutes.

Do you remember when

it was in the Khiam

plain before and the

party was present?

It would suffer heavy casualties. It would lose many tanks.

No one in the Israeli Army was injured.

Why? Because the party was not present.

And the Lebanese Army was in control.

When it withdrew, it created a vacuum.

Created a vacuum.

The authority that asked people to

believe in it, and believe that weapons should be restricted

to its institutions.

It asked the Lebanese army to withdraw.

So what did Hezbollah do then?

Then Hezbollah came

and started moving in.

There, they rounded up

those on motorcycles and referred

them to the military court.

To the military court. The young men

who wanted to fight in defense of their country.

The question remains: do you believe that

the Lebanese state

works to protect the Lebanese people in

southern Lebanon?
