Voices from Gaza on Conflict and Support

Peace be upon you, and God's mercy and blessings.

I am journalist Moatasem Ahmed Dalloul from Gaza.

Besieged Gaza.

Gaza that was let down by

world leaders.

But some peoples did not let it down. Sadly,

disbelieving peoples.

Let us leave that aside.

During the Israeli genocide

in Gaza over the past three years, I lost

my wife and three children. I lost brothers

and sisters.

I lost nephews and nieces.

I lost

a house. I lost

a supermarket. I lost my office,

the dearest place to my heart,

where I spend most

of my time

writing, analyzing, and browsing. I work at

the London-based East Monitor Institute.

I write and analyze Arab and Islamic affairs,

and sometimes global affairs.

I previously wrote about Yemen

and studied it well. I know who the Houthis are,

and I know their project and its origins.

I know why they support Gaza, for show

and not in reality.

Therefore,

their support for Gaza, their false support for Gaza,

does not mean or grant them absolution because

they subject our brothers in Yemen to terrible suffering

through starvation,

displacement, killing, and demolishing homes

and occupation, changing the culture and religion,

changing the sect through changing the curricula,

and imposing

guardianship over them and its

false, sectarian Shiite guardianship over them.

The Houthis are filthy.

The Iranian Houthis, or Iran's followers,

and Iran's project. Today, even the ignorant

know what its project is and who

runs it, and who

brought the Shah, and who

overthrew the Shah and brought Khomeini?

Where was Khomeini living

before he came to rule Iran?

We know this very well.

A message from Gaza.

Gaza of pride. Gaza of might. Gaza of strength.

Gaza that was not defeated

and will not be defeated,

God willing.

To all our brothers in Yemen

oppressed by this criminal,

the Houthi, and his followers: We will not

abandon you. We are with you. We

pray that God grants you

victory over this criminal

tyrant.

It does not bother me, and it never bothers me,

when Shiites and Shiite

followers attack me. I say it

frankly:

Their attacks on me do not bother me,

especially since they attacked me when

I supported... When I rejoiced,

I announced my joy at the

fall of Bashar's regime

Al-Assad,

and it is an Iranian project

in Syria, like the Houthi project in

Yemen,

and I supported the legitimate government or

the legitimate rebels, who are from the Syrian people,

and the Syrian people are among them,

So the whining of these people and the attacks

by these people, as well as

their hurling of

vile insults at me, do not harm me.

This does not harm me.

No one can harm me but God,

Glorified and Exalted,

for I stand with the truth.

I know the truth,

thanks to God and His grace

and His guidance,

and I know the truth and stand with the truth wherever it is.

I stand with the truth wherever it is, and nothing else

concerns me.

May God help our brothers in Taiz and help them

stand as a thorn in this criminal Houthi's throat.

May God help our brothers in Yemen.

Perhaps God, Glorified and Exalted,

will grant them victory

and strengthen them

and give them the strength and determination to persevere

and confront them until Yemen, not

Taiz, is liberated.

The liberation of all Yemen and

cleansing and purifying it from these

criminal Houthis.
