And with this, O great people of Egypt, and O soldiers of Egypt in particular,

march on and do not look back, follow the words of the Beloved, peace be upon him,

on the day he entrusted the banner to the Lion of God, the victorious one,

the lion of East and West, Ali, on the day of Khaybar, when he said to him:

Take the banner and do not look back, Go forth, O Ali, and do not look back.

Our great forebears expressed it in one phrase, simple in wording,

gentle in meaning:“ He who looks back will not arrive.” And we will never look back,

O people of Egypt, before the makers of this evil,

for we are in the valley of construction, and they are in another valley,

like a hollow drum, its sound heard from afar,

while its inside is empty of all good. May you, O leader of my nation,

be well every year,

Every year, O leader of our renaissance,

may you be in goodness and honor, and glory and pride, Every year,

may the best soldiers on earth

remain true to covenants and promises, lions roaring on the borders.

Every year may the men of our security be in protection, safety, and wellbeing.

Every year may the scholars

of my nation gather around the Qur’an,

and continue on in the love of our master Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him.

Every year may the people of Egypt be in God’s safety and protection.

O Allah, lift the sword, oppression,

and killing from the lands of all people, and spare the blood, O Lord of the

worlds, O Allah,

conceal our faults and calm our fears,

and honor us through our humility to You alone,

And enrich us through our neediness to You alone, O Allah,

make our morning like the morning of the righteous,

And make our tongues the tongues of those who remember You,

and our hearts the hearts of those who are grateful, O Allah, O Lord,

By the right of Fatimah and her father, her husband and her sons,

and by the secret concealed within her,

Do not make Egypt in need of any vile one among Your creation,

O Allah, do not make Egypt in need Of any vile one among Your creation,

and fulfill our needs, for You know them best, as a favor from You, O Most Generous,

And may Allah send prayers,

peace, and blessings upon our master Muhammad and his family,

and all praise is due to Allah, Lord of

the worlds.
