Historical Analysis of Ukraine's Struggles

Twenty-seven coffins stand in the vaults below,

packed with the remains of Baturyn residents, which

were found during the

reconstruction of this museum.

Previously, only scholars

went down into these vaults,

but when

in 2022, the first Russian

crimes in the Kyiv region

became known,

the museum administration made

the decision to open them to tour groups,

so that you and I could

understand that this current war —

is not the whim of some freak. It is an age-old

effort to destroy Ukraine.

No matter how much we forgive them their crimes,

no matter how hard we try

to live with them in peace,

they do not abandon

the idea of killing Ukrainians.

And until their

descendants fear us, and our

descendants hate them, we are doomed to walk

the historical cycle.

Of course, history has

no conditional mood, and

Analyzing those events, modern European historians

claim that if Baturyn had held out,

if there had been no

betrayal, the history of Europe would have been different.

And Europe’s political map

would look different now.

You and I now have a unique

historic chance for revival.

If only traitors do not interfere,

if only they do not open the gates.

Back in 2015, Russian scientists found

traces of the Ukrainian hetman’s

Ivan Mazepa's bells bearing his image.

This bell is called "Dove." It was stolen from

Baturyn during those events. Do you know where it is?

It hangs on a church in Orenburg.

And these are the people who

pronounced anathema on Mazepa.

And the bell still

works. So I hope this peal, rung by

our Hetman's bell, is a funeral knell

for modern-day Russia.
