Call for Unity in Yemen Conflict

Peace be upon you, and God's mercy and blessings.

May God protect you all.

We have called, and will continue to call,

for an end to the bloodshed in Yemen.

Those who say we condone the spilling of

even a drop of blood in Yemen are lying.

Not in Ma'rib, Taiz, Aden, nor anywhere else.

We call on all the people of Yemen

to meet halfway along the road.

And we tell them that 12 years have been enough for us to

learn the lesson and gain the

experience that these countries that

intervened in Yemen do not wish you well.

They distributed weapons among you,

bombed you, and divided you

into factions, organizations, and parties,

and sowed sectarianism among you

and regionalism, and they want you to clash with one another.

It is time for you to stand united

and tell these foreign powers

all to leave Yemen and for you to

make concessions to one another.

Is this call a crime, people?

By God, the crime is that you

side with them for a thousand

Saudi riyals or sell your blood

and soul for these people's interests.

When these people's

interests were secured and the

Saudi ambassador went to Sanaa,

they forgot you and signed

A truce. When their interests and oil were hit

and their ships, they mobilized you and raised

the issue of the Companions and the issue of

religion, fatwas, and jihad.

And when they make another truce,

they'll silence you and stop you. So are you

such a cheap commodity?

That is what saddens us, and this is

what keeps people from respecting you. Peace…
