Call for National Unity in Israel

Good week to you, my brothers and sisters, citizens of Israel.

This is a time for unity. You know I called for this during the election campaign and repeated it afterward.

This is the people's will and an urgent necessity, because as early as next week, someone intends to hastily swear in a government with terror supporters, to form a government in the State of Israel with those who seek to destroy the State of Israel,

with those who want to establish on its ruins the State of Palestine.

And we all know the truth. A government dependent on Hamas supporters will not fight Hamas.

A government dependent on those who hate Judaism will not preserve Israel as a Jewish state.

A government dependent on radical Islam will not fight radical Islam.

Such a government will not remove the existential threat from Iran.

It will not protect our heroic soldiers in Gaza and Lebanon when a third of its members, a third of its members, call IDF soldiers war criminals and praise the Nukhba and Hezbollah murderers.

Such a government, dependent on Islamists, will dismantle the State of Israel from within, as is happening in European countries, and much worse than that.

The fire and flames we see on the streets of Paris and Brussels will be nothing compared to the fire and flames we'll see in the streets of Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Israel's other cities.

This isn't imaginary, and it's no scare tactic.

This is the reality we'll face, so we must stop it, because our lives are at stake.

With a government like this, Israel simply won't survive, so there's only one choice: not national suicide, but national unity.

I call for the formation of a national unity government that will include all the parties in the national camp and all the Zionist parties that want to protect our country, the one and only homeland of the Jewish people.

A national unity government will permanently remove the nuclear threat from Iran, preserve Israel as a Jewish state and bring unity among us.

I call on everyone to act responsibly at this decisive moment.

This is what the moment demands. This is what our survival demands.
