An attack on the tribunal won't win them support.

I knew the mafia wouldn't go down without a fight, but this is different.

You went too far first. You won the election, then the trust polls.

You drove them to desperation. A drowning man grabs at anything.

They're ordinary criminals. They're not complicated.

With all due respect, maybe you don't understand it entirely either.

Back when I was still working at the Institute, my colleagues and I searched through the archives.

The government bought the loyalty of tribal warlords, bribing them with lottery tickets.

But in Gdańsk, north of Warsaw, a certain electrician kept winning.

So we went to look for those numbers. For six months, we didn't meet anyone who'd even matched three numbers.

One day, I saw a child playing with a winning ticket with all six numbers marked correctly.

That electrician was throwing them out. So why was he wiring them?

Because he thought it was a fun sport. Some people don't need any logic or reason.

You can't like them or get along with them or negotiate with them.

Some people just want to watch Poland burn.
