Discussion on the Irish Famine and Genocide

Ireland did not suffer with a famine. It suffered with a fucking genocide.

In order for there to be a famine, there needs to be a widespread scarcity of food to cause malnutrition and starvation.

We weren't scarce on food. We didn't have to starve.

We actually had plenty of crops and plenty of livestock too.

But guess what? Britain took it all. They saw us starving, and they still rationed.

They saw our bodies on the street, and they rationed more.

They got greedier and greedier and greedier while the Irish people who grew that crop for them and fucking fed their fucking livestock got hungrier and hungrier and hungrier.

The Irish did not suffer a famine. We suffered a potato mold, and that led to a genocide when the British, who were already stealing off our bare fucking backs, decided to steal until we literally had nothing left.

And then they stealed more. And then when our supplies dropped down because people were dying, they killed us for it.

So we had to fucking flee to America with the littlest bit of hope that it would be better there, but it wasn't.

Oh dear Jesus, it wasn't. We were just put into slavery and called dogs, as it is historically known as the, uh, Potato Famine.

But I really, really hope that when we break away from Britain, not only can we change that to the Irish Genocide, because that's what it was, not a fucking famine, and I'd also like our original flag back.

Fuck the orange out of it. They don't deserve to be there.
